Networks for Arts Professionals

There are six arts specific networks for Arts Professionals working with children and young people in Leeds:

  • Leeds Dance Network

  • Leeds Youth Theatre Network

  • Leeds Visual Art Network

  • Leeds Young Film Network

  • INCLUDE – Arts and Disability Network

  • Arts and Early Years Network 

The networks are made up of individual practitioners and representatives from arts and cultural organisations across the city. 

What is the purpose of the networks?

 The networks are committed to :

1. Improving and increasing opportunities for all children and young people aged 0-19 to take part in the arts.

2. Providing opportunities for children and young people to progress and excel in the arts.

Who facilitates the networks?

The networks are facilitated by ArtForms Arts Development Team which is part of the 0 – 19 Learning Improvement Team, Children and Families,  Leeds City Council.

Who can attend the networks?

The networks are made up of individual practitioners and representatives from arts and cultural organisations across the city. There is no formal process for membership. To attend a meeting please contact a member of the ArtForms Arts Development Team.

How do the networks make decisions and share information?
 
Each network meets a minimum of three times a year to share and discuss common objectives and plan partnership working.
