Creative CPD Workshops

"Logic will get you from A-B but imagination will get you everywhere." Albert Einstein

Before we go any further a couple of questions for you...
1 Do you believe in the following statement “If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original.”*
2 Have you ever heard yourself say something like “That’s too many windows!” or “Crocodiles aren’t pink!”**
If the answer is "Yes" to either, or both, of the above, then SCRAP CPD is definitely for you!
SCRAP CPD workshops are designed for teachers, learning professionals, home educators and anyone interested in building their own confidence and skills in facilitating and encouraging creativity in children, young people and adults and an understanding of the importance of creativity as part of effective education.
The sessions take place in our inspiring Scrap Creative Reuse Store for Arts and Play in the beautiful Sunnybank Mills, Farsley, Leeds. Visit our website here to get a taste of who we are.
The Scrap environment is fundamental to demonstrating our approach of reusing everyday objects discarded by others to inspire and stimulate the burgeoning enquiring and creative mind and enhance your practice.
Our sessions are led by members of our team of professional artists and active learning specialists all of whom share our belief and knowledge that creative practice stimulates curiosity, which leads to developing new ways of thinking and builds confidence in learning through questioning the world around us.
All activities relate to different areas of the curriculum from art and design through to science and environmental issues. .
After attending one of our training sessions you will be more self-assured in your creative practice and understand the value in encouraging your children to question, reflect, experiment and explore the everyday world. You will be full of new ideas and bursting to try them out.
